Matt Thorne is the author of six novels, including Eight Minutes Idle (which won an Encore Award and was adapted into a 2014 film) and Cherry, which was nominated for the Man Booker Prize. He is also the author of three children’s books and teaches creative writing at Royal Holloway, University of London. His 2012 biography of Prince was an international bestseller and his new book, Famous: Envy, Ego and Ambition in Rock, Pop and Hip-Hop will be published by White Rabbit in March 2026.
