KaNisa Williams, also known as “Darling Nisi,” has an interest not just in Prince’s music, but also in the cultural environment around his legacy. Over time this interest expanded to her podcast Muse 2 the Pharaoh and her online presence, actively engaging with the community in promoting compassion and self-reflection as important themes in Prince’s work. In 2023, KaNisa contributed album notes to the Diamonds and Pearls Super Deluxe Edition release, a project that later went on to receive a Grammy nomination for Best Historical Album. She has also been a guest on the official One Nite Alone podcast and has appeared in promotional videos connected to Prince’s legacy. Although she has pulled back from active participation in the past year, her work continues to document his cultural impact in his creation of spaces of safety to explore identity, bias, and knowledge of self.

Outside of the purple world, KaNisa works as a Chief Technologist at Booz Allen. She is a systems thinker, leading technology transformation efforts for large organizations and architecting human-centered solutions to help systems work in complex environments. Her academic background in Human Computer Interaction and Organizational Ergonomics drives how she understands how people and technology shape one another, and has carried into her career today, where she focuses on strategy, alignment, and creating conditions where teams can succeed.
